Pan Arcadia is a hard name to miss in New York’s downtown music circuit. Childhood friends from the boroughs, the 5-piece have a propensity for giving high-energy live shows and throwing parties at abandoned churches, city parks and their house/studio: ‘The Shack.’
While paying homage to prior NYC guitar bands like The Ramones and The Strokes, Pan builds on dueling riffs by stealing tricks from far-reaching genres like boom-bap, bossa-nova, synth-pop, pop-punk.
With multiple sold-out shows at the Bowery Ballroom, Baby’s All Right and Mercury Lounge, as well as a spotlight on Spin Magazine’s Podcast, the group has earned its hometown cred. This May, they will embark on a 10-date outing ending at the Music Hall of Williamsburg (5/17). The tour is a celebration of the their upcoming release “Beer Shot Combo”, an irreverent dive-bar ode.
